How Did the Project Start:
The project began with a clear direction to create an immersive online presence that reflects Murphy Lightings’ legacy and product depth. The requirement was to move away from traditional corporate lighting websites and instead focus on a modern, aesthetic-driven experience that captures attention and encourages user enquiries. The dark theme and visual emphasis were chosen early in the process to create a mood-driven, high-impact interface.

Project Execution:
- Competitive Analysis: Reviewed top lighting and design-centric brands to understand how they balance aesthetic appeal with product clarity. Insights were drawn from both B2B and B2C models to inform the structure and user engagement flow.
- User Flow: Designed a smooth, discovery-driven journey. Users can browse by lighting category or industry application and are gently led toward enquiry forms rather than pressured into action.
- Information Architecture: Products were clearly organized by category (indoor, outdoor, commercial, decorative) with detailed pages featuring key specifications, use-cases, and visual inspiration to support decision-making.
- Wireframing: Early wireframes explored modular layouts that could accommodate a media-rich experience without clutter. The focus was on clean navigation, visual hierarchy, and space for immersive content.
- High-Fidelity Mockups: Final mockups introduced a fully dark-themed aesthetic with large imagery, ambient video backgrounds, and contrast-driven layouts. Design elements were carefully aligned to reflect both industrial functionality and refined design taste.
